Description
Although the sport of kite surfing is new, it is not a one man invention and people have been playing with the concept for a long time. In fact, in China and Polynesia, kitesailing was a form of transportation in the Pacific Rim beginning in the 13th and 14th century! The philosophy of this kite surfing experience is to provide students with the tools for independent and responsible behaviour while they enjoy the exciting ride! All during the session, you'll not only receive the tools to become a proper kitesurfer, but your instructors will share and discuss their ideas and approach from the moment you arrive to the most advanced tricks. This gives you an open mind and aware of all the different aspects of the activity: safety, etiquette, culture and respect.
Upon arrival at the venue you will receive a detailed verbal introduction to this sport by a fully trained instructor qualified to national standards. You will then be taken out on a number of different circuits to experience marine kites, all the water launching and powering up techniques, culminating in a long distance body surf across the harbour of around two miles!
Please note this experience does not include wetsuit hire, however wetsuits can be hired from the location for the course.
