This is a skippering course for sailors who have a good knowledge of sailing and navigation and are aiming at skippering a yacht on coastal passages. The course comprises a mix of boat handling, pilotage, navigation, night sailing and safety procedures. This course will teach you the skills needed to competently skipper a yacht on coastal passages, it will have you prepared for a YM coastal examination and you'll also receive an I.S.A. certificate once you have completed the course.
This course is run with a ratio of 4 students to 1 instructor ensuring individual tuition and comfortable living conditions. You will spend 4 nights on board and the price is inclusive of all meals on board and all equipment needed. The duration is 5 consecutive days or two 3 day blocks.

How long does this activity last?
This is a five day course.
You need to know
The minimum age is 18 years.
Participants need to be in reasonable health and have at least basic swimming skills.
Participants should have practical experience equivalent to day skipper and navigational knowledge to YM coastal level. You will need 600nm logged, 20 days at sea and eight night hours.
